Byerley Park Primary School

Vision, Aim & Values

Our School Vision

At Byerley Park Primary School, our shared vision is:

To educate the whole child, meeting their needs now and in the future.

Our School Aims:

We aim to maintain a learning environment which has high expectations where children can achieve their potential. We aim to develop pupils' self-confidence and raise their self-esteem so they will learn to work with independence and self-discipline and be able to adapt to the changing world in which we live. We aim to develop lively, enquiring minds to prepare the children for their next steps in life. We aim to ensure the children recognise the importance of their mental well-being and how to improve or maintain positive mental and physical heath. In order to do this, we provide a warm, friendly atmosphere where children gain respect for others, contributing positively, not just to the school community, but to the wider community.

Our School Values

As a school, we promote the values of respect, learning and safety.

  • We want the children to demonstrate respect to themselves and others, the school and the world around them.
  • We want the children to appreciate the value of education and of learning new things and how this can impact their future chances and opportunities.
  • We want the children to value having a safe place to spend their day. We want the children to feel safe in their daily school routines, feel safe speaking to adults in school ad know how to keep safe in the wider world.

We have used our values to create a set of beliefs for the children to use. We call these our Byerley Beliefs.
