Full Welcome Message

We would like to extend a warm welcome to all new and returning visitors to our school website. I started as Head Teacher in January 2021 after being the Deputy Head here for a number of years. I think Byerley Park Primary School is a great place to be, as a child or as an adult, and I am very proud of the education and experiences we provide for our pupils.

Byerley Park Primary School is a popular one form entry school in Newton Aycliffe. With around 30 children in each year group and an open plan building, we consider ourselves a family. Our pupils feel proud to attend this school and staff are proud to work here. We set high standards in what we expect for behaviour, uniform and the effort we expect the pupils to give. We nurture positive relationships with parents and carers and hope they feel part of the Byerley Park community. 

We have worked very hard on our curriculum offer and we are proud of how ambitious it is for the children. We aim to equip our pupils for the next stages in their academic journey and give them strong foundations for all future learning. We also aim to provide a variety of opportunities for our pupils to experience during their time at school. We hope that these opportunities enrich their time in school and lead to future interests as adults.
